About us

To revive interest of the Indian youth in the field of art and culture and also to identify and encourage talent from the new offspring, foundation of “Sur Sangam Sansthan” was laid in the year 1977. The time when there was no doordarshan and its wide spread network, channel television was not even heard off. With the immeasurable inspiration, advice and direction of the music veterans like Late. jaidev and Late. Naushad sahib, “Sur Sangam” is being organized consistently and has become a major annual music event of the country. Later, the synonym of music maestros, Sh. Ravinder Jain and Ravi Ji have rendered glorious zenith to this mission with their valued association. The immaculate association of Sh. Ramlal Mathur, Dagur family and extremely talented singer Ms. Pinaz Massani since the beginning has added worth to this annual musical extravaganza.

“Sur Sangam Sansthan” has provided a platform to lacs of young singers through 23 All India level music contests. Majority of participants have immerged either as established singers or has taken up as lecturers and professors, imparting musical knowledge to millions others. More than 100 centers have been a part of this musical venture in some way or the other. Countries eminent music composers and directors such as Anil Biswas, Khayyam, Dilip Samir Sen, Lalit Sen, Bhupinder-Mitali, Ritwik Sanyyal, Mudgal family to name a few, have acknowledged this effort by providing free guidance and literary session absolutely on complimentary basis, to the participants.

To date all the events have been organized in Jaipur under the sponsorship and patronization of Government of Rajasthan and Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur. But the advent of channel T.V. culture and everyday mushrooming of the reality shows has compelled the urge to organize the “Sur Sangam” in all the major metros of the country. Now is the right time to bring forth the naive talent of rural India and present it to the industry. We seek your participation to make this event, an event of sorts.
